Innovation insanity

Check this out. "There will never be a shortage of smart new ventures, brands, goods and services that deliver on consumers’ wants and needs. In fact, with the entire world now engaged in creative destruction, INNOVATION INSANITY is upon us..." http://trendwatching.com/trends/innovationinsanity/

Great site with a lot of interesting articles.

Sorry about the short post...busy, busy, busy!

Why branddeli?

Not why branddeli as in, 'why work with branddeli?' - but why the name? I'd like to say that it came from a 10 hour brainstorming session where we threw the fragments of our brand back and forth across the table while inhaling cans of fizzy caffeine. In fact, it took about half an hour. That's the beauty of creative people - they master the art of serendipity, from which point they make coming up with creative ideas look easy.

Anyway - branddeli - the brand bit is obvious. That's our thing, our reason for being. And here's the scientific part - I get called Melly by the collective nieces and nephews. And so we came up with a load of words that rhymed with Melly. Jelly, belly, smelly, welly...well, we liked deli.

But here's where it gets really clever. What does a deli do? It provides all the ingredients you need to satisfy your appetite. And that's what we do - we provide a veritable shopping list of ingredients that you can choose and put together in whatever way you like to create the perfect creative 'sandwich'. See? Now that's what I call serendipity.

Welcome to chew the fat

Hello and welcome to chew the fat, the new blog from branddeli. We'll use our blog to let you know what we're up to as well as teasing you with tasty morsels of chat that we think might tantalise you.

To start you off, take a look at this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE

Old Spice have launched a brilliant campaign using video response to Tweets. At the centre is Old Spice guy, the most masculine, manly guy you could wish to meet. What's brilliant about this isn't so much the video content, although it is pretty funny, it's the creative approach to media planning. Posting video on Youtube by itself is a bit of a shot in the dark if you want to generate exponential awareness, but linking the campaign to Twitter and actually having this guy respond to celebrity Tweets like Ellen, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher has created a massive buzz.

Wish we'd thought of it!

In the world of branddeli we're building a brand, spanking new website for one of our big technology clients. It's all a bit hush hush, loose lips sink ships if you know what I mean but we'll let you know when it's done.

Bye for now.
